P gasket 300tdi

Good morning all you happy land rover owner
Can anybody put me in the picture as to where the P gasket is situated. I know it is at the front near the water pump but is it behind the timing belt cover or in front of it. I have seen pictures on the net but could not make out if it is the timing cover that you have to pull forward. If that is the case it is a hell of a lot of work. Can someone give me an idea please

Easiest thing is to look on YouTube for p gasket replacement videos. You have to take the water pump housing off the front of the block, not too difficult, but there are 3 long bolts that may be rusted in, so buy some new ones up front in case they snap.

When I did mine I removed the alternated, tension pulley, power steering pump and water pump. I think buster has done a write up on here and I can recommend Hylomar as a gasket sealant
