It has a six inch fan on the other side. Sucks out now rather than blowing in to cool the generator. The row of holes you can see as the inlet got me thinkin . Mechanical air out (equals) vent air in (minus) variable blast air.
In other words when the trigger is pressed air pressure could rise more than extracted air resulting in particulates escaping through the ‘in’ vent as well as the ‘out’ vent. I may need a strip of leather over the row of holes inside as a one way valve.
Being too tight to buy blast media when a bag of kiln dried sand is pennies, I was trying to avoid breathing apparatus to avoid silicosis. A bit of flexible ducting on the fan cowl to the outside would just give it everyone else.
Still rummaging through bits buckets trying to find a LED driver for the lighting and a 240 switch. At least the fan is 240.
Oh, and two metal foot scraper/doormats fit great for a grate.
