Overnighter Camper Trailer Build

Nobody is going to see it up there, especially once the solar panel is on

Sometimes you just have to get the job done. Frustrating though. When I win the lottery i'll set up the Landyzone communal workshop where we can all just do our projects. I'll provide all the tools, spares and materials. Anyone have any lucky numbers?

Finished the roof. May wet back the front bit and sides eventually and spray them when I’ve set up my other lockup as the spray booth. But at least the solar is fully working and the wirleygigs are on.

Betcha cudda put more solar up there!!

Its a 200w panel but more than I need. In the gloom of the day it was charging at about 2amps and when the sun broke through this afternoon it went up to five. The one thing I definitely didn’t want was cables strewn all over it so I’m happy with it so far. Recon I’ll be using about ten amp hours per evening if I use the heater. Other than that it’ll only be a few LEDs and charging the phone.

Wot no fridge? Water pump for a tap?

Nope. No sink either. Or a shower or a crapper.

Bed, kettle, warmth and light. Everything else will be contracted out to third parties. Mostly the pub but site welfare facilities are often a better option that squatting in one’s living room.

I thought most tuggers did it in the wardrobe

Just like the gypos, they don't use their trailer for toilet duties either.

Not while people leave their back gate unlocked.

I’ve probably got a few weeks of work setting up the second lockup. Just as well with this weather. Can’t do anything now without wheeling the trailer outside.
Not got the keys yet but should have them next week with a bit of luck. Once secure etc I’ll be treating myself to a Bison Warrior genny to run everything with the probability of getting one of their welders eventually to team up with the power plant.
It’ll have to be impenetrable before I put the genny in there so lots to do. Just not on the camper

I have however picked up some brass sheet to have a go at reproducing the missing plaque. I’ll be popping down the sign shop this week so he can do me some vinyl and I can get some etching done.

Oh and I’m building a mobile solar array.

It’s a curse

3x 130ah Batteries with 3 100w panels. The idea is I can wheel it out when the sun is peeking, fold out the panels to charge then fold up and wheel it around for portable power. It’ll have the obligatory controller and a small inverter.

Between prepping the man cave 2 I’ve knocked up a box for the solar array. I’m using all the scraps and half paint tins as fast as I can as this has been relegated way down from practical to functional. Hence the chassis black for the inside and Iveco blue for thexterior.
