Hi All

N reg RR 4.6 HSE Auto.

Last night whilst driving the car the heater all of a sudden went cold and then the engine temp went right up. Pulled over and got recovered so that I could have a look this AM.

Car won't start - The hose from the rad to engine had come off and one of the HT leads had come off - the car had no water in.

Refilled it and tried again - vehicle turns over but won't start. Took out and tested the spark plugs (all 8) and replaced.

Their was a few droplets of water on 2 spark plugs.

Fuel was leaking from the bolts next to spark plugs so tightened and this has stopped.

Now when it turns over the engine water bottle bubbles and steams slightly.

I am fearing the worse BUT can anyone shed any light or help out on this please?

Many thanks in advance for your helpful comments.

Cheers
Alex

head gasket failure and you may well of joined the slipped liner club-especially if the cylinders are in the middle of each bank
