well, im going up a tarmac hill, with a slight bend, no ice or anyting to loose traction on, and i can hear the t/c chattering away and a loss of power as i go up. only happens when i turn on the hill, so im thinking its trying to compensate for the diff lock (which seems to be activated?!? what you think??

Have you got any wheel bearing play ? , just a thought as its happening on corners , that the air gap increases due to the reluctor ring moving away from the sensor .

thats a wild stab in the dark mind , but its an idear .....

.

funny you say that sypher, i was considering there being a problem with the front offside wheel, would a metal on metal rubbing sound at slow speeds be a symptom?? im guessing thats a stupid question but im no mechanic so i better ask haha

well id defo get that checked out for sure ..... ( but could be a simple thing like the disk shield rubbing the disc ) .
But Id start at that wheel anyway jack her up , and put an axle stand under it and give it a good spin and listen for noise ( well try to lol ) .
Also give the wheel a damn good shake top and bottom + side to side and see what ya come up with , do that on every wheel .

.

right, thanks for that sypher! ill give that a go tomorrow and let ye know what i come up with. if anyone has any other suggestions in the meantime theyd be welcome, thanks:)

Turns out its nothing to do with the bearings at all! i jacked it up, no play in the wheel, tried moving it with a crowbar, nothing. so i had a look at the pads, (which i had been assured were new when i bought it no more than three months ago) They were completely worn, metal on metal... typical really isnt it?

anyway, does anyone know an online supplier of green stuff pads?
might as well do a proper job while im at it :D

At least its simple then --- why do you want green stuff pads in a landy for ?? standard ones would be better as green stuff only start working well when there hot ( used to run them on my modded car ) . And one other thing about green stuffs is there expencive - think its only £12 for standards and £35 + for greens .

Ill stick with standards tbh .

fair point, tbh i dont even know much about them, thats why i was asking for an online stockist, remember reading about them a while back and thinking they sounded th dogs b****cks :D ill stick with the standard ones so :)

Unless your original diagnoses was right, and traction control keeps coming on.

Haven't changed the pads yet, only realized Saturday evening that it was the pads were worn so wont have new ones till tomorrow, but yea, t/c and abs are still going crazy.... very annoying!!
