hi, ihave 98 freelander 2.0l deisel,have airlock in cooling system anybody out there have any idea how i can fix this. thanks
 
Can we have a bit more info on why you have the airlock. Have you changed the coolant and this is the result?

It seems that purging the system works better if you lift the front of the car first. On the hose entering the bulk head there is a bleed screw. Remove this screw, then top up the expansion tank until only coolant is emitted from this bleed screw. Now fit the screw back in. Get the car back on its wheels and top up the expansion tank to the MAX mark. Take the car for a shhort run and get it up to temperture. On return, check the expansion bottle level. Allow the engine to cool. Top up the coolant as necessary. You may need to do this over several days as the last pockets of air are expelled into the expansion tank.

thanks dave,i will give that a try,ya this happened after changing coolant.its my first jeep ,and first diesel iv had so a lot to learn.thanks again.let u know later how it goes.
