Having replaced the high pressure pump, I was all nervous about firing up the old lady. SO you can imagine my disappointment when I turn the ignition key and get a high speed ticking noise and nothing else.
I am worried it is something I have done, but given the ticking noise stopped after about 10 seconds and all the lights went on the dash would suggest the battery is dead.
I have connected up my Mum's Corsa in an attempt to jump start the car, but it still ticks and the same happens after about 10 seconds. Just goes completely dead.
Apologies for all of these questions with regards to trying to get the hp pump replaced.
Is it most likely that the battery is too flat to even be jump started and the only option I have is to put it ion charge overnight?
Thanks
