Hate to say it,but if it was anything like my experience, the police will do
bugger all, apart from issue a crime number.

We had the guy's reg number, description and direction he drove off in and
what happened? Bugger all, if he'd left the scene of crime, speeding then
that would of been a different matter.

Hell! The helicopter would of been scrambled in 30secs!

The bikes long gone, but i have a few 'leads' to explore tomorrow at dawn. BTW, i am more gutted about
this than anything (apart from my family etc) they could have took from me.

I sold my RR P38 today, my bike got nicked & my wifes using the WRX, which they ignored!!!

I'll post more (even worse) pics as & when i sort the cctv foorage out.

BTW, the system cost less than £1500 installed with 4 night vision & colour daytime cameras. It's got a
250gb HD system too.Shame it was just set too far out as i would have the ****s faces even better.

Mind you, you'll recognize the ****ers in a while!

Good luck, Nige - just don't get yourself in worse trouble than they are.

Bad luck mate. Like the ad - subtle as ever! I used to stick my bike
in the house through the back door to avoid this sort of thing - tho I
didn't have anyone to moan at me for keeping a bike in the house at the
time!

Police will probably know who they are already I would guess. CCTV
gotta be pretty good evidence, something they can't exactly deny when
their ugly mugs are on the screen caught nicking it - didn't even have
his 'hoody' up!

Hope they get what they deserve & you get the bike back.

The CCTV shows they were there, not that they nicked the bike. Something
their legal aid solicitor will make a lot of when/if this comes to court.

Your Homour, they were casing the joint for a future burglary - how dare
anyone suggest they were stealing anything (on this occasion)?

which gives more support for doing it yourself unfortunately.
Take care, and as was mentioned dont do anything to cause yourself more
hassle ( tempting as it is )

I'd definately be interested in more infon on the camera too. Im just
looking at setting up a PC based CCTV system and need some cameras.

I made a start to a PC based setup, but the IP connectible standalone
DVR units were cheap enough that I just went and bought one. Cost me
about £300 for a 4 channel recorder and about £200 for 4 cameras to
suit (2 daylight, and 2 night-capable ones).

Ive just found 'zoneminder'. which is a lunix based harddisk CCTV
thing (http://www.zoneminder.com/). That wont cost anything since i
have spare PC's already :). PC in the loft and some cameras and i
should be sorted.
Most of the schools round here have got cheap DRV units and all the
ones i have used have been totally crap!
The PC based one above looks loads better!

With one brand of DVR unit in particular, it doesnt record whilst
playing back, recording disks off it is really hard and you have to
use the special software to play it back. The software is crap
(crashes all the time, is not user friendly and is written in engrish)
and it doesnt work over a network as advertised.
