Well looks like Morph will have an extra passenger soon. Rosie a rescue pup.
Been and picked her out today, just waiting on an MOT from the dog warden to
check we are fit parents which should be a formality as we've been there and
done that several times. She looks very much like our Sally who is a Kelpie
(a sort of cross between a Shepard and Collie), Black short coat and appears
to be around 4 months old.

Kids are buzzing and our Sally is going to go mental, she loves play mates.
I reckon a bit of mothering will take 5 years off her.

Trip to B&Q for wood to build a new Kennel and a load of puppy proofing
materials for the room they will live in when getting those trash the house
teething and genral distruction issues out of the way.

Tomorrow we're going back up to walk her for the sake of the kids sanity and
then I think I'll go and dig some fresh holes in the garden in readiness so
she feels at home.

It's the absence of barking replaced with shouting "Yow be gerrin orf my
drive, yowl be worrying my sheep skin rug" that made me suspicious... surely
that wasn't normal behaviour for a dog? It may however clarify the leaning
on 5 bar gates while eyeballing the postie and fondness of Landrovers.

Me and our lad have been doing "Man-stuff" today.... you know the sort...
multiple power tools to build a kennel that looks to be an exact replica of
the old one (only newer).

Cost me £57 for the stuff, Similar Kennels seem to retail on the other side
of £100 so I'm most happy. Lado got to file some edges down and really got a
buzz from being hands on..... tomorrow were off to buy red chequred shirts
and a new pair of safety goggles each ala Norm Abraham (Sky- New Yankee
Workshop).

Doesn't look half bad either, well big enough for the two dogs.

I may need to quickly aquire some mesh to make a Portable kennel for Eastnor
depending on how tame/responsive pup turns out to be.... h'mmm time will
tell.

Speaking of tools, been on the toolporn sites this morning looking for the
Numatic "George", which does spray and suck carpet and upholstery cleaning,
with the following results:

Screwfix: useless, no longer stock it.
Machine mart: 175 quid plus vat
Axminster: 165 quid INC vat.

so you can guess where I ordered it. machine mart used to be cheap, not
convinced any more.

My next job is to extend the shed - up (adding a second floow!) then
add a nesting box and (covered) run for the chickens.

He'll be alright on a lead I'd have thought - best strategy for
broader socialisation IMO. We've found that Max is (generally) far
better behaved when left loose - rather than on a tether (also means
we trip over him / the tether a bit less, too).

Yeah, I don't fancy cages, not had cause to use one yet & It'll be a last
resort... I fancy the idea of looking for a lost pup in far off lands even
less though. Will soon have an idea.

Was recommended by a pro to steer clear of 'Henry' because of serious
'cost reduction' of the motor. I think 'George' is better.

We have a Gnat which was made by ex-Numatic people using original Henry
parts, including the original motor. It's done 22 years so far on the
same motor and casing, although we no longer use it for building rubble.
It squeaked for a while when our cleaner mistakenly thought it was a
wet+dry type, but has been fine for the last couple of years. Couldn't
recommend them more highly if they're still around.

'bout 11 quid which isn't super-cheap but not pricey either. can you order
it? can you ufkc. Please phone our mail order depratment. bollox to 'em,
then, I'll have a look in town tomorrow morning, I bet one of the shops has
something like.

using, and the disco, and the house...

I reckon it'll pay for itself in the equivalent of about 2 trips to the car
cleaning types to valet it. 'course, I could also start me own valeting
service.

I get mine from a local janitorial suppliers. Not as pricey as that
either.

Well I got my MOT off the dog warden.... straight up to the Rescue centre
via Pets R us or whatever it's called... shelled out a few quid on doggie
essentials and then picked her up.

Introduced her to Sally and they both seem to get along fine... they have
been sorting out the pecking order / playing and the like. I think Rosie is
crossed with a limpit as she's constantly attached to my side now, As I type
shes between my legs and the chair. I'm on earlies in the Morning so should
know at around about 5.00 am if she is house trained.... so far so good.

Should be interesting when the kids get in :) in around oooo 10 minutes.

Didn't realise how cheap it is to get you dog chipped now. Dog warden will
come around and do it for £8

We had one of them before they'd allow Max to come live here.

Chap turned up and I got a very bad, bad, bad feeling. He 'seemed' to
be the most uncooperative, unhelpful miserable ****er I'd ever met -

(sticking it into areas I'd have prefered he kept well away from, like
my little server playroom) - and an equally large chip on his

After condemning the back garden (OK, 'yard') as being too small, and
grilling me as to whether I really do work from the ground floor of
Poggle Wood, and making some smart arse comment about me not really
looking like I get that much exercise...

It's strange, the standards and palava they go through before they'll
let you have a stray dog, but anyone can have a kid without so much as
a council permit.

Time we had breeding licences for humans, i think....

I think i'd generally agree with that - or at least some kind of test
before the bollocks are released from cold storage for some of the
lowlife babyfathers around here.
