Sorry John, don't know them, but which model Pug? Not the 206 CC i hope? The roof has serious issues & is
pretty dire to drive for anyone over 4 foot!

No its a 306 cab 1.8 2000/ 2001. I had heard that they have live wet liners
and as such are susceptible to overheating reaction that can be expensive,
some have collapsing front suspension problems, some have coolant problems.
as you can gather I am real impressed with the descision to get one !!!

Never mind its YELLOW, brilliant !

Been a major source of rows over last few days as daughter is after a car as
well and trying to tell an 18 yr old that " it may have tinted windows, a
CD stacker etc, but it costs as much to insure, and no 190 BHP means take a
toilet roll with you "

Hey ho such is life !

Thanks Nige

Yellow is well in your face in an open topped car! They still look quite a fresh shape even now matey.
Not heard anything regarding the engine, but 90's Pug build quality is more a problem usually in the
interior If it's the same engine as used in the 205 1.9gti it's well solid. Brother in law had one & he
kicked the live ****e out of it for years & it never had a problem in 150k I dont even think he really
ever did anything other than change the oil once a blue moon! I do remember the parts are pricey & they
eat wheel bearings, but Pugs are usually mechanically solid with ****e trim build!

Get em an 88" each & watch the street cred go down the bog! My wife thinkis my 88" is a 'pile of ****e
rusting away slowly' What the bloody hell would she know?

Take care, if anybody decides on LR as street cred imagine the prices for
them and spares. Anyhow for me they are street cred, but then I'm just an
old fart ( according to my kids ) :)) . I did briefly get daughter
interested in a 90 but only because it could hold 7 !!

There is a bloke down the road from us who has a very nice LW with a V8 of
some sort and all the usual off road goodies , and he uses it ti its
fullest. I drool each time I go past.
