After fighting the oversteer several times and resigning myself to either
being *very* lucky and staying on the road or hitting something I just
let it go. It wasn't until it started to roll that I thought "Oh ****,
this is going to hurt". Pleasantly surprised when it all stopped to find
myself not in agony, trapped or both. Just shows that a properly
fitted(*) seatbelt will hold you into your seat pretty effectively, just
remember that if you are upside down you head isn't designed to be landed
on, even from a coupl of inches.
(*) Lap belt as low down across your hips as possible and under thick
clothing. Diagonal belt across the center of your shoulder and all slack
removed.
