OT: A tale of woe & even more woe!

THE BAD BITS

Last week I bought the missus a Gucci bag from eBay& I paid a good price. She went to get it today & it's
a fake, not a bad one I have to say! I'm not into snides etc & it is my wife's treat.

I mail the seller (99.9% rating) to complain, he replies it's genuine etc & go to Gucci shop to verify -
yeah right! The reason this leach has got away with 99.9% pos feedback is he only sells to pre-app
bidders only. This means as a powerseller he can, as soon as he gets a complaint, kill the actual deal on
ebay so he doesn't get negative feedback. I try to moan at ebay, but as his (multiple) auction is still
running you cant report it. I paid by Paypal (it is the worst thing ever) & they wont get into an
argument unless the item wasn't received at all. It was as my wife had to sign for it so in the eyes of
ebay & paypal - no problem. However, he now has me on his case. He sent me an a-mail that taunts me too.
I am going to now doorstep this ****er i i can find him....................................

THE GOOD BITS

The silly **** let me use paypal, it's a pile of ****, but you do have to use your own name (to a degree)
to get an account. I simply logged on, found his name (first initial & surname only) & go get the package
from the bin to find the postcode it was sent from - hey presto, there are 2 of the ****ers with the same
name (A Nother style) at the same address. I ring directory enquiries & again, I get a number & pretend
to be from eBay ( I didn't tell any lies) I ask if the person that uses eBay is there & the (very nice
sounding, not thick, but foreign) woman tell me Remagn is at work & will be back soon.

I have his address, his name, his wife's name & his inside leg measurement.............. He'll be home in
20 minutes his wife tells me!

Funny how I'm off to look at the LSE this week! It's in Newcastle too & I have a few good mates up in the
Toon!

****ers, they think they know how to **** you over.....................

I wonder if the real Gucci know about him, they are getting very annoyed
about these fakes these days and all the design houses are beginning to take
action against these fraudsters.

I was talking to a guy a few weeks back who is 'in the know' - looking
at using RF tagging for identity purposes. Many of the fakes on the
market now are not even fake. They are made by the same sweatshops
that make the real product, using the real materials (either bought
direct or stolen from that issued by the fashion house) and then sold
on. Where 'non genuine' materials are used, the fashion houses still
struggle to tell the difference.

So, Gucci handbag £200 (guessing). Same product using same materials,
but 'grey', £10. No prizes for guessing where the other £190 goes.
Ah, 'design costs' moan the fashion house. No, big glossy adverts in
magazines to keep the 'brand' going, and a new S-Class every year for
the boss. It sure doesn't go to the people in the sweatshop.

Yes, it's more complex than that, but the whole 'designer' business is
ridiculous. Some of it is good, some of it is utter crap. Sadly,
most people are unable to see past the name on the box - they buy it
to prove that they are successful and rich (or stupid and ridden with
debt which is generally the reality).

Sony wanted to charge me £45 for a spare battery for my phone, since
the one they designed is incapable of working without a break for as
long as I can. I bought two on ebay for £1 each. They were listed as
genuine, but for £1 it was pretty obvious they weren't. They are
great fakes, right down to the hologram. The only giveaway is that
they both have the same serial number. You know what - they work, and
last as long as the real piece of crap Sony supplied. They'll prolly
die in six months time - who cares?

If you buy cheap stuff on ebay it is either fake or stolen. That's
the reality, otherwise Debenhams would buy it all up and sell it in
their shops. The same applies to boot sales and the bloke in the pub.
If you want a free lunch, don't complain if you get indigestion.
