Depends on the parts. OEM is widely considered the gold standard but I've used plenty of britpart parts that held up all the way across India.

Are we talking spare radiator hoses or replacement CV joints or what?

seriously you trusted those parts for a trek such as india?

All comes down to personal opinion but anything with a seal in it I would avoid Britpart as I have had a few bad experiences. If I have the funds, I always buy genuine...but there are some things that are just daft prices so I try to go for the next best.

Again, it depends on the parts in question. I have recently just covered a 7000 Kilometer trip across Morocco with Brit Part wheel bearings, ball joints, bush set etc and they held up over the trip. I took spare OEM parts but never needed to use them. I have had Brit part exhaust system and been through two in less than three years. Temperature sender units, three in three years.

Yeh I did! Wheel bearing and CV joint kits. Haven't missed a beat yet. I try and buy the best parts I can afford but needs must sometimes. I actually think some of the
Britpart stuff gets a bad rep. Some of it is codsh*t tho

From my experience anything from britpart thats made of plastic or rubber is absolute BS. The stuff thats just lumps of metal seem fine. Saying that when everything in my front axel fails simultaneously on the M1 I'll let you know
