Disco is at the dealers. I know - but there is a bunch of stuff I wanted an opinion on.
They say the smoke on acceleration is not due to the EGR but is because it needs some kind of retrofit to a drain pipe on the turbo, which apparently has an oil catcher tank. Didn't sound too unreasonable but then they said £390 so I said leave it In retrospect, I think the tank in question does actually relate to the EGR but they just wanted the dosh.
They also say the suspension message I get ("Normal height only available") is due to a faulty compressor - £895 to change. Strange as it always works fine when I switch it off and on. I said I'd live with the message and in the meantime I'll investigate a cheaper solution.
Would appreciate opinions on the above!
