Hi
The time as come to upload the photos of my project and I know how you guys love photos. This is my first ever Landy and what a way to get started, its a 2.5td 1985 90with 275k on the clock and time runs like new. Hope you enjoy the rebuild as mush as I am.
This is how it all started until I got it home.
Once home the fun began. (The strip down)
The only good part of taking it apart was if a grinder could reach the nut or bolt it was cut off.
The tin worm has had a good feed over the years.
Replacement panels and a Mig welder sure you couldn't go wrong along with being a qualified Mechanic and Welder.
The Parts Department.
By this stage it was clear to see that the Chassis was heading to the local scrap yard. Not to worry as a new Richards Chassis was on route for the rebuild. Along with a lot of nice new shiney bits.
And the strip down continues.
Got the whole thing shot blasted before I started to strip it down and then slapped a lot of galavafroid on it to stop it from rusting. As you can see someone has had a go at replacing the bump stops before looks a nasty mess.
The new Chassis then arrived.
Now the real fun begins !!!!!!!!!!
Chassis arrived the week before Christmas and I got it rolling before going back to work after Christmas. To get to this stage to me about 2 months with very little help.
I hope yous have enjoyed the project so far, I will update the rebuild tomorrow to hopefully bring it up to date.
Away ideas, information or comments on the rebuild would greatly recieved.
