Travelling along in my TD4, sudden lack of response from the throttle pedal but no spluttering and it was if someone had turned the key off.

After a few seconds normal power again.

Second time pulled out of t-junction and same happened again, foot flat on the floor and walking speed in 1st gear.

The garage have checked the pipe to the turbo solenoid and nothing appeared on a scan of the ecu for faults.

Any ideas?

Thanks Rich but it was about 55-60mph and 5mph the second time.

Will have a look at the thread anyway - its on my to do list lol!

Lowside fuel pump generally wont give you lack of power at 5mph, since it will generally rev freely until 3.5k rpm in neutral without lowside working. If fuel filter is blocked then i would say it would be a more common issue , although you might just be seeing the start of things. Easy way to check if your lowside pump is working is to put your hand on it, to see if you can feel it vibrating, although you'd need it to fault whilst stationary first.

Checking the pins on your high pressure fuel raid pressure sensor and tightening them up if you know how, is always 5 minutes well spent with loss of power on these TD4.

hope that helps some.
