do you think i didnt consider one of them before??
but they wont fit...i measured..wee bit big ..

This is all getting a bit Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I'm currently expecting something vaguely resembling a Range Rover Classic to emerge from a wooden shed and then climb ponderously into the sky on dragon-skin wings ...

well last nights efforts were in vain...

s/c going in centre of v..stupid shocker turrets will get in the way where it was going..

so s/c will be sticking out the bonnet..

Yeah but it will look so much better with it sticking out if the hood! Your project looks awesome. Mucho respect for fitting a blower, love it!

cleaning the 4.6 prior to painting and then boosting..INSIDE and out

please rrc with v8...distance from top of rocker cover (near side) to top of shocker, thats vertical distace..
and distance from top of rocker to edge of shocker..thats horizontal distance..

above is to gauge if i need to move s/c bracket up some..thanks

Zen,

Not the easiest to measure as air flow meter in the way but as far as I could measure it, horizontal distance from edge of rocker to turret is 150mm and about 193mm to centre of top damper. (1991, 3.9 Vogue SE)

Vertical distance a bit more tricky because it depends on how much thread is showing above the shock turret. The difference in height between the rocker cover and the top of the turret is 11mm. A rough measurement from the top of the turret to the top of the shock thread is about 25mm on mine so allow say 27mm + 11mm = 38mm so maybe allow 40mm?

In some ways it's a shame it isn't on a RRC that has/had air suspension because then there should be no problem because the front damper mounts are further forward and lower down, on the nearside, the damper is just under the outside edge of the alternator.

HTH

thanks..but have now moved supercharger from side of engine to directly central, made low profile manifold to fit..cos where i had s/c was where shocker turret was..opps..

today...etch primer..

ITS BLACK

not sure if rockers will stay black..

options are red like car with black inlay in the castings..gold flake over black, or red inlay over black..OR silver..???

PULLEYS??? red or silver or black..??

SUPERCHARGER??.black or silver?
