Kit on its own is 450+ kit is bn unused
Gpz is on injection still spare ecu somewhere
Tyres are good 180 rear section has modern running geàr
Owned since 2000 never used it..always garaged

Theres also a turbo xs1100 that may be for sale at alater date
 
I think the silver bumper looks better than black but, it depends on the wheel colour and also it will look awful with the gold lettering if you go that way.

Really looks fantastic.
 
On reflection, considering the gold flakes in the paint, maybe you should go for gold lettering, bumpers and wheels?

bloody white one's lpg went up the creek tonight..miles away from anywhere in the sticks too..was perfect when parked up,but on starting fecked!!
either got an injector(or two) gone tits up and letting through all the gas or ecu gone faulty and opening all the injectors at once...
dont know yet,will be plugging in laptop tomoorow and having a look.
wont start on gas,wont rev (when switched to gas) and a/r meter indicating massssssssivly rich,stinhs on gas..ie not burning it all and ecu thinks run out of gas ,cos switches over to petrol pretty darn quick with low pressure warning...
bugger..dont need this now!
 
Wow, that rangie is looking sexy, very impressive work. :) Personally I think you should go with silver bumpers with silver lettering front and back.

And if I had the money I'd definitely grab that green 4 door. Sadly, what little I do have is being spent on my current classics repairs. :(

well ****ed off....suspecting engine shot..cant get rid of white smoke..hoping prehaps dodgy injector,but that i dought..or prehaps ip timing sproket jumped a tooth ..but propberly gonna be compression..but it starts so easy..dont no.fecked off..not doing coolent so dought headgaskest/s..not burning oil...

dont know..looking to borrow diesel compression tester???

anyway..

on the plus side..motors though..smoke and all..sounds good..fightens children..
 
I have my doubts about "rebuilt" stuff from ebay, had the same with the heads for my 4.4 although a bit cheaper lol

Tbh I wouldnt trust "service" refurbed stuff as they dont care if it works right and all parts are free to them sadly.

Hope you can get it sorted, would you not re-build yourself si?
 
i really dont want to have to rebuild....

need a comp tester to find why really..

could be..air being sucked in..this would alter injection pump internal timing=white smoke=easy fix=cheap

or..faulty injector or two or three etc..ie leaky,so poping late=smoke

or ..injection timing retarded....=maybe injection pump sproket has slipped a tooth on countless pump removals?doughtful though,but very cheap if so.

compression down..cos faulty valves/rings headgaskets...hope not and strts too well,dont use oil or coolent..so maybe not..if is expensive to pocket and back!!

containated fuel?..no changed it..
 
did you use any parts from the previous engines exhaust system? i had a similar problem when i did an engine swap and could'nt work out where all the smoke was coming from, it turned out to be oil and water had collected in the exhaust system, i gave it a good run at 60/70 mph down the nearest dual carriageway for an hour and it was problem solved once everything warmed up and burnt it all away.I hope you get to the bottom of it, its been great following your build, did it take much longer than a week? :):):):)

quite happy with the effect.vw passion red..with audi/vw brilliant red (very bright,colour changing from deep red to almost crimson) over with gold metalflake over with 2k laquar over...inside door,pillers etc also done..

And I have been quoted over 500,000 Yen (3,500 GBP) for doing pretty much the same thing (with less sparkles) on my P38A... If only I had the space time and a friend to do that!
