Hi all

Just wondered if any one knew how accurate the on board computer is on the range rover l322. The 2 consumption computers on the screen have been showing some great numbers and just wanted to know if they were correct. My range rover is the 2003 l322 4.4L V8 petrol and the computer has been reporting getting 18-20mpg around town/city and 25-30.7mpg on the motorway driving at around 54mph got 30.7 today  with the air con on, this can't be right can it?

Thanks
Matt

Never trust computers - I know, I work in IT :frusty:

The real way to do it is to go from full to almost empty then fill again - then you know exactly how many miles per galleon you have done. Course it will cost you a few quid to fill up :violin:

Well they can't be that for over your head or you wouldn't have been able to post. Unless of course you have your own P.A. :D

Nothing wrong with computers except that they suffer from the SISO syndrome now and again. Nothing illustrates this better than the global warming data being gathered by those who would have us believe it's man made.

You wouldn't be implying that these people are using SISO algorithms to manipulate their data to bias the results would you. :D

Well seeing as how ice core samples and tree ring data, going back thousands of years, are now being discounted as evidence of natural change because some super computer says they are not what happened, when even the stupidest person on Earth knows they are actual evidence of natural fluctuations in the Earths temp. SISO has to be considered as the possible reason why the computer says different. What's more intentional SISO. Somebody is making a lot of money somewhere.

All lies, for instance only 30 people died because of chernobyl -the truth is horrific impact on millions of people
