Here is Ola as we got her.

The wife wanted to modify her somewhat to make her our own, and so we have plans for converting her to something a bit different.

I know I've already put links for the first 2 videos in the Defender section, but thought I'd start a proper project thread for her, as well as link the new video;

Episode 1 -

Episode 2 -

Episode 2.5 (more of a how-to on removing a rear tub) -

Hope you enjoy, and hopefully this is a project which doesn't run on too long (doesn't everyone think that at the start!!!)

Finished on the underside of the tub, after getting some lovely crap stuck in my eye when working on the chassis resulting in a beautiful trip to the hospital and some eye scraping with a syringe!!!

After this one, the content can get a bit more onto the fun putting back together type of stuff!!

Nearly done with this goddamn chassis. It's one of those jobs where I keep finding another little bit, then another. At least she'll be solid for another few years when I'm done!

Anyways, episode 5 uploaded.

Finally started working on more exciting bits. Started working on the King cab conversion panels. Yes, we are doing a King cab, I know there will be haters, but at the end of the day, that's what makes Defenders so cool, is that we can each make them as personal to our wants and needs as possible. Also mounted our spare on the bonnet, using a rear door wheel mount, which I know will be another sore point :p:D:D:D

Enjoy episode 6.

A very wordy episode, so huge apologies for how boring this episode might be for some, but I do explain how I have made the King Cab bulkhead panels to retain the swing open rear door.

Also a pic of our new suspension set up. Got Terrafirma 2 inch lift springs, but went with Bearmach Tuffback lifted shocks instead of the Terrafirma ones. Painted up the turrets and the car is sitting lovely.

Can't comment on ride quality yet, but I'll report back when she's back on the road (hopefully not too long now!!!)

Suspension video is all edited and uploaded.
Got some work done on the king cab roof yesterday, and will be finalising and uploading a video showing that, and then tbh, there's not a great deal left to do before paint!!! Getting excited now.

Couple of short episodes. Mega behind with footage because we crammed to get the paintwork sorted before the cold weather really set in. Going to be another few videos worth, but just putting together these short ones in the few spare moments I get between work and working on the truck.

This is where she currently sits;

The videos are just a diary of how we got there.

Trying a new video style and adding background music to try and make the videos a bit more interesting and easier to watch.

Comments are welcomed, good or bad. Would appreciate some help in making the content a bit more enjoyable.

Thanks

Project is looking good , nice clean work
Are those bulkhead bars a standard fitment for defenders ? I was planning on removing the full bulkhead on mine to create a walk through for when I start the camper conversion and was already thinking about how to replace lost strength in the tub..

Cheers for now.

The vids are good, the main thing is there are no adverts, I kin hate adverts.
Last vid you with a tash, I thought whooa Freddie is still alive:D
