ok what fits?

I have a load of S3 parts, so here is my question (S)

Will a series 3 hard top fit a 90 (I heard from landyboy that the diff between a 88 and a 90 is th ewings but wanted to check sorry jon!)

Why would someone fit a ford tranist 2.5d turbo into a 90?

ok its a series 3 forum, but i'm gionna fix it with s3 parts!!!! tomorrow!

In that case someone must have stretched the tub on my ninety. Because when I needed new body cappings for the rear tub I was offered the cappings off an 88 with the assurance that they would definately fit. Been a bit skeptical I took my old 90 cappings down to the kids house and laid them on top of the 88's rear tub and funnily enough they were an inch longer at each end.

yer series and defender windscreens are different as weel, defender one is a bit taller it no?

I believe that the cab roof on an S3 has rounder corners than a 90, so wont fit.

The windscreen on a series ends level with the door tops where as the 90 windscreen sticks up a couple of inches above the door tops.
so the hard tops roof's are different.

2. because they have a 2.5d engine spare.

Odd, when I checked they were Ok at the back but 2 inches longer at the front.
