Hi all.

I recently posted about having bought something off eBay and had a few people say "I've got 20 of those, shoulda let me know!". So I figured I'd put up a list of things that I need for my '85 ish 110 n/a before I go hunting for them.

Obviously not going to put things like "200TDi engine / mint condition bulkhead" (unless anyone has spare ones lying around? ) so these are random little bits that I'd like to fix / are missing etc but ain't too bothered if I can't, although have put a few bigger parts on in case you have 'em as things I want to do eventually.

I'm in the Channel Islands and delivery for bigger items is a bit of a bar steward, so would reckon on stockpiling whatever in Southampton (have access to a garage for a while) and then picking it up/ couriering it in one lump.

Happy to pay whatever postage and whatever else is reasonable for any of this lot. Also got a few bits if interested in p/x e.g., parts of the bench seats (x3), tow hitch (although posting that would cost a fortune!)

1. Front windscreen rubber seal
2. Nearside front wings (side & upper)
3. Offside front wings (side & upper)
4. Front grill surround
5. Lower dash switch blank/switches (i.e., LANDROVER DEF 90/110/130-PANEL SWITCHES X3 -GOOD COND.- on eBay (end time 07-Apr-10 19:30:37 BST) blank or with switches0
6. Cabin carpets & mats etc.
7. Rear view mirror
8. Sun visor things (mine are so mouldy think they might disintegrate if I wash them)
9. Gearstick plastic cover thingy.
10. Passenger seat cushion bottom.
12. Back door glass
13. Back door seal
14. *Any* rear / side / upper windows

Also need a driver's door and probably a new bonnet. And on the lookout for the usual other things... bull bar, light cages, rock sliders, chequer plates etc. but figure those things are all bigger / worth money etc.

Worth a punt I reckon... post here or PM if you can help!

Ta. Also, wasn't sure if this should go here or in the classifieds... couldn't really see a section other than the wanted bit...?

Cheers,
Matt

I might be interested in your tow hitch if you've still got it in a couple of months. Is it a NATO Hitch? What colour is it? I'm coming to Guernsey late July (as I do every year) camping. If you've still got it then, I'll come and find you! What parish are you in? I stay at Fauxqets Valley Campsite on Candy Road for 2 weeks. As for the other bits, I have none I'm afraid :( BUT if you can hold on for parts until July, I'll ship them across for you (providing the LZ Courier service can get them near me).

A lot of the stuff you are after is not that expensive, its the postage that is the killer. Shipping individual items I would suggest is a no no.
I know that if I spend more than £50 with Paddocks postage is free so Southampton is okay. So buying second hand off ebay may not be the best deal for you. May even be worth calling Paddocks and getting a price to deliver to your door.

PS the gear stick thingy is a gaitor
When renewing the back door upper seal its worthwhile getting the lower seal and a new steel plate to fix over it... makes it a bit more watertight and looks good
Kitchen carpet is a good cheap option... The old seat box carpet can be used as a template and cut new stuff to fit.

I know you are on a budget so free postage is a bonus.

Hi Pos.. yeah, think it's the Nato hitch (I'll get some photos over the weekend). It's black... well, rusty black. Would be awesome if you can courier some things over to me (and I'll gladly pay you with the hitch and whatever else in return!!). I'm just down from the airport so not far from where you're staying... having said that, nothing's very far away in Guernsey!

Thanks MrJC - you're right... it might be quicker in the long run to find this stuff new (ish) and ship it in one go.

If you do want me to bring anything across with me you're more than welcome. I will be travelling from Leeds to Ipswich on the 24th July, and then from Ipswich to Poole on the 25th July. Later that day, I will be arriving on Guernsey via the Fast Cat. If you want something, or various items bringing over, the senders will need to get the parts to me in Leeds (via Landyzone Courier Service) on or before the 23rd July. I could make a pickup at any point along the A1 or the A14 between Peterborough and Ipswich too if that helps.

One other thing to bare in mind - if you want to buy a whole load of new parts, get in touch with Jake Wrights - Landrover restoration and sales - Yorkshire, uk. They're local to me and I'm down there often enough. They can get hold of everything that Paddocks sell and at similar prices for usually better quality parts. They'll box it all up and I'll shift the whole lot straight to your door if you so wish! You'll have to wait until the 25th of July - free shipping though ;)

You may regret saying that... how much free space you got in the back of your wagon?

I'll have a tent, air bed, sleeping bags, stove, food, two clothes bags and some other stuff. I'll be able to fit a few things i for you - provided they're not excessively large or so heavy that it'll cost me twice as much in diesel! Let me know.
