If you've got air con in the back, you could probably re-route the ducting to the centre cubby box.
The ducting already goes either side of it, a bit Dremmelling and some duct would probably make it possible.
Of course, it'd also heat the cubby box in the winter....
 
Oh yes, the E type was like that new.:eek:

I've had two convertibles, the E type and a Ford Consul. You always had a warm feeling driving the E type no matter how cold it was. But the Consul was bloody painful in winter if you were entertaining in it. Cost a bloody fortune running the engine to try and keep anything like warm. Many activities were curtailed due to frost intervention. Used to create some seriously firm nipples though. ;):D:D

I think I bought one of your Consul's, it had stilleto heel marks in the head lining.:D:D
 
My Series II is cold in the winter, I got a fume curtain for it, and it did make a difference, less space to heat up
