on my 3.5 n/a V8 with SUs.

I see the mix screw, I see the throttle pullies and the choke pully.

How do I change the idle speed?

The workshop manual I have is fecking useless. It goes on about positioning the cold start cams in line with a mark, that I can't find... I get lost at this point because it refers to parts that are not even on their exploded diagram.

I'm sure it's easier than this

Can someone explain this in fool terms :(

It is simple if you know what you are doing but explaining these things is often harder!

To do the job properly, you need to disconnect the throttle transfer rod between the two carbs and do them individually, then reconnect the shaft, having adjusted its length so that it doesn't change the settings. I find the attached pretty handy:

It also helps if you make sure the choke is fully off and the throttle return springs are doing their job.

Cheers Chris...

So a cheeky half turn on the Fast Idle screw on each carb won't do it then?

I'll check it out against this pdf... Thanks for the link.
