Oil warning light

Hi, drove my landy back from portsmouth to ashford kent, during the trip the oil light came on, i pulled over and found that the filler cap had came off, i topped up the oil and replaced the cap but now the warning light stays on, is there a switch that i can replace or could there be another problem, the landy ran alright for the rest of the trip with no unusual noises.

there should be a switch on yer oil filter ..yake it off and make sure its working

If its broke they are only pence to replace and easy too!

don,t rely on "the light" go for manual capillary gauge and get a real oil pressure reading and get to know your engine (pressures) that gauge will even tell you if your oil is useless/tired overheated.too thick to thin blah blah

its a lot cheaper than a seized engine

love your oil gauge an it will look after you !!!!
