sorry to hijack but does anyone know what the oil pressure should be on a 3.9V8 i'm lucky to get 20

on the 3.5 V8 the oil pressure should be 30 -40 lbs so would assume 3.9 the same

A worn high mileage engine will have those symptoms, and not necessarily a problem, you should have full mineral though, semi synth isnt reccomended in the landy engine.

on older models oil pressure relief valve was part of the oil pump unit in the sump housing
