Can any one help please?

mom having ongoing trouble with my 1986 90 oil pressure light not working when I turn the ignition on.
I have tried a replacement warning light unit. All other warning lights work. Turning the ignition on I get just the battery light which goes out on start up.
I’ve replaced the oil pressure switch and run a new cable from the switch to the two brown and white wires directly behind the warning light cluster.
I’m desperate to get this working as it’s the final thing before MOT.

Any sensible suggestions welcome.

cheers

Could be the bulb/bulb holder not making good contact. Try swapping the oil pressure bulb and holder with the battery light one and see what happens

Pretty sure having a working oil light not needed for MOT. You need to put a meter on and see if power is getting to the lamp.

Fantastic thanks. Loose bulls holder it was at the cluster end. I put a scalextric car brush behind each side and it’s fixed.
No the pressure switch won’t close again! It never ends!
