Oil preasure gauge

The oil preasure guage doesnt work and the clear ish tube coming from the dial is not attatched to anything.

Where is the other end in the engine bay? I am guessing the guage works by oil going up the tube to the dial? So if nothing is connected the other end, oil comes out? Oil coming out will be why under the landy it is caked in oil!

Am I right?

yeah there would have been a t-piece fitted in place of the oil switch on the oil filter housing and the fitting on the end of the pipe would screw into one side of the t-piece and the oil switch would screw into the other side so you would still have an oil light aswell as the pressure gauge
