Last week I noticed that my 87 90 2.5 na was pulling to the left under braking , i pulled the front os wheel off . on inspection i found the disc to be covered in a black oily mess . Gave it a good clean up banged in a new set of pads . Things went ok for a day or two , but the pulling to the left slowly returned . Again when i inspected the disc it had an oily covering . There is no brake fluid leaking . Is it possible that the oil is coming from the Swivel Housing along the half shaft ? Any ideas ?

hub seals gone i'd guess. i have it on my list to do. just rebuild the dodgy corner, about £50 for everything you need. at least it is crossed off the list for a year or so. my problem is the other side has gone as well now...but the car no longer pulls to one side :)

It sounds like your seals are leaking as mentioned above..... I damaged mine off road. My braking was not effected mainly due (I think) to disc covers and I spotted the oil dripping onto the path.
Two options.... replace the hub seal which means a fair bit of work (See Busters Tips for a photo guide) or drain the oil from the swivel housing and replace with oneshot grease.
The latter should do the trick. It worked fine on mine and that was 6 months ago. Worth a try for a few pounds

Thanks for the help , my 90 hasn't got the brake gaurd like is shown in the photo , I have now stripped every thing back to the chrome swivel ball , and its is really badly corroded which must have knacked the seal , now to find a new swivel !
