whilst out on a laning trip my oil light started to flicker when the clutch pedal was used, a check of oil level came out ok just wondering if fitting the fan back on(taken of by prevuis owner to save fuel) would sort the problem the temp gauge is not moving much beyond the first quarter even in every day use:confused:

cheers i thought maybe the oil light switch but thought i would ask the question anyway

I did all the above and found it was just an old engine that has a little low oil pressure due to previous owner had idle set to low . Just lift it 1/2-1 turn on stop screw. 50 rpm should be enough to sort you out

just put a viscous fan back on an the oil light hasnt flashed since but a mate did play with the oil light switch conection so it could still be the switch:D

Viscous defo not needed, only time a 200 gets hot is when worked hard off road at slow speed

as its easy to do i might take the viscous fan back off just to see if my mate playing with the switch connection did work or not, i must admit i feel alot better now its not flashing though one less thing to worry about

Fit a cheapo elec fan from ebay then you can cool it at the flick of a switch
