Freelander 1 Oil leaking

Am planning mine Sunday to.
I had car years ago.
It kept braking down.
Changed about everything to keep on road.
I put it in garage and left for 2 weeks as was busy
Would not start. New battery. Than altonator.
Got to point if I went near car it would not start or something brake for no reason.
Car was mint condition. Sold to my mate
7 or 8 years we him.no brake downs or anything
Flue threw mots
That car was grumpier than my x wife lol

Just make sure that the tailgate window cables are in good condition. Or as you reconnecte the battery, it all goea pear shaped like mine did last weekend.

Dose pump come with new gasket?? What setting is 21mm nut to be set to???
And do you lock engine

Don't have any disks to go of as every one i
Tried to get says no longer avalable

Just stop the flywheel turning by stuffing a screwdriver in the teeth or put it in 5th gear. The pump bolt isn't that tight anyway.
It's advisable to change the timing case seal, but if the seal is OK, it'll probably be OK to reuse the old one.

Doing this job blind. No book or disks . It's a automatic. Will lock engine etc. Going to take picks to help others. Or show how not to do it lol

Mine is an auto, so the ring gear will be locked with a large screwdriver.

My 17MM Allen key arrived yesterday, along with the replacement window cables. So I can crack on with that first thing Saturday morning.

Have I to turn engine so screw driver goes on one of the holes on flywheel. Not worked on one of these. So all new

When the starter is out, you'll see the ring gear. As you try to unbolt the pump drive gear, the engine could turn. Simply lock up the ring gear with screwdriver, against the block.

Any one know what web site I can get the hp pump injection gasget.
It's like trying to find hens teeth. Been on web hours but no info on the jasget
