So I have a bit of an oil leak. Whats coming out seems very watery oil, not jet black.
I took the undertray off and had a look.
There's a bit of oil on the engine mount uk drivers side.
Looking up is not easy! I think theres oil on what I think is the oil feed to the turbo.
At that point the cold got to me!
How much viewing can I get from the top with air filter housing off.
Are there any common places for it to bleed oil from in that sort of location?
Thank for any help and pointers

If it's clear oil, are you sure it's engine oil?
The turbo has an oil feed and a return to the sump.
It's uncommon for the oil feed to leak, but not impossible.

You can't remove the air filter housing, as BMW decided to make it integrated with the cam cover, which is stupid imo.

I'm not sure if it is engine oil. At first I had left off the side cover by driveshaft and I initially thought it was water gettind in there and running down the engine. It's more brown than black. Washed off my hands easily. I didnt look at the steering rack, went too cold!
More investigation needed.

So now its getting a bit more warmer, had another look.
Got the car on ramps so I got a decent look from underneath, looks like the oil is coming from quite high up. I've always had oil collect around the oil filler cap, but I've never replaced the pcv filter.
I took out the filter and its black as black, so new one ordered. Not going for the upgrade after what I have read, and its easy enough to change every year.
I'm thinking and hoping its just blocked and forcing more oil out of the filler cap. But I did think it may be cam cover gasket, not sure how easy that is to get to. Does that entail removing injectors?
In removing the oil catch filter housing I had to take off the fuel pipe to the middle injectors, is that normal or should the fuel pipe be the other side of the sticky out bit the cover bolts to?
