So, to save you waiting, here's what it looks like once the panels are removed from under the receiver hitch fittings. These pictures were taken after the receiver was fitted, but before the rear panels were put back in place. Do you have the complete black plastic "box" on the underside?

As he may have logged off, I believe the answer to be 2017. Not sure how much difference there is superficially. I know the 2018 has had a few tweaks but haven't heard anything in between.

Absolutely, 2017 build and model year.
2018 provided new lights (front and rear), bonnet, bumpers, bigger seats, new door cards, new electronic dash and touch screens, a 2.0 petrol based hybrid, reassessment of mpg and CO2 figures (they are now worse), lots of minor tweeks. And naturally, a healthy price rise

Hey, imagine how smoothly this would go if we had a L405 category! Oh, did I mention that before?!
That's a bl**dy good idea! Why did nobody think of that before? Perhaps you could start some sort of "Other" thread and try to petition the mods to setup a new category?

Bad seal where?
On the drain plug (which looked unscrewed) or on one the input or output shafts?

The only vehicle more unreliable than a new than a new JLR product is a Tesla according to a recent survey.
In the top five most unreliable cars in 2018..3 were JLR. Range Rover, Ejoke and Discovery.
