Hi all

I have a problem with my 52 plate disco td5 auto. The other day my missus was driving it along the track from our house when she says it seemed to stall and suddenly there was a bang and lots of flames. She jumped out the car and ran away but when she turned round the flames had gone. She left it sitting where it was. I have managed to get it back upto the house and had a look at it. Underneath the car there is engine oil everywhere. Its all along the floorpan, propshaft and transfer box aswell as the gearbox. I have had a look and I cannot see anything wrong. There is no visible broken pipes and the only place I can see some leakage from is the rocker cover gasket. There is oil all over the alternator and some of the other pipes but I cant see any point of leakage or holes. I have removed the pipework to the turbo and there is no oil in the and all seems fine. there is no oil coming from the area of the head gasket and no oil in the water or mayo under the cap.

Inside I have the abs,tc and hill descent light on. I also have the rear suspension raise light on and the light of the disco side on with opposing arrows and the disco from the rear with it rocking side ways. I think they may be on due to the suspension sitting down at the rear. When I switch the ignition on I get a beep every so often. I have not tried to start it because(apart from being scared to) the battery is flat.

Any advice welcome

Thank you
