Morning all,

So in my first post we established that my Defender has had a 200Tdi engine conversion in the past.

That would explain why the "Land Rover Specialist" who worked on the engine for the previous owner didn't have a clue where to put the Oil Breather Hose (think that's the correct term) and so knocked up a pretty crude looking oil catch can.

I will be replacing the missing air box which from some googling looks like the oil breather hose goes into the back of that between the filter and turbo.

Can anyone confirm this is the correct way?
Also can anyone recommend a good airbox, or which one would fit my setup?

Attached is a few photos of my engine, and a photo from google of what I think it should look like.

Thanks.

I have two and both my breather hoses are vented to atmosphere, catch cans are a pita.

My def one is just run over to the inner wing under the servo

Of course if you wade you will need it to be routed into the intake trunking pre turbo.

Edit, see pic, you can see brether hose routed over to the brake pipes under the servo, if you look at the air filter you can see the old stub the hose was connected to.
The old girl is a bit worn, and used to breath a lot so sludge would form in the air filter insides, so removed hose and fitted catch can, catch can used to constantly block up with gunk, so then ran hose to its current location, and for the last 5/6 years it has not made any mess at all!
