Looks a bit pretty BUT, recently replaced stub axle, hub bearings brakes etc was fine for a week or so now it is chucking oil out via the shaft and stub axle. Anyone tell me why? What stops the Diff oil from coming out that route all the time?????

yep, all gaskets replaced, I've now replaced the dust cap twice as they keep cracking when it starts leaking again.
and is is coming from the cap area not from the between the drive flange and the hub.

Liking the blocked breather idea, before the work the end caps were missing and the diff would have been breathing feely via them, now well greased and sealed once hot would push out via the weakest point.

when you put the new dust cap on, warm it up in hot water for an hour before fitting, that will soften it.

I had the same problem with mine.

The breather also was blocked on mine. I changed the whole screw in thingy on top of the axle as well as the pipe.

Right well, the breather doesn't seem to be blocked, It is a Disco axle fitted to Defender, the beather pipe is only about a foot long and doesn't seem to be bolted into the axle??
managed to blow down it without much resistance hence my assumption it isn't blocked. I'll get a look at the levels tommorow, haven't got my sump keys at the moment.
