Went to pick up my "new to me" freelander yesterday (private sale!) it was exactly what i wanted, right mileage, colour, price!
When I got there the owner was gutted to tell me that there was quite a sever water leak!!
The car was towed back to his home, where the AA man suggested it may be a water pipe leak! - hmmmm
I am aware that Freelanders (its a V reg by the way!) have problems with the head gascet! (PROBABLY SPELT WRONG!)
The owner is now getting it into a garage, I was gutted, but "better the devil you know"
Anyone else had this problem, and should I continue with the transaction, I feel disappointed and the sale seems a bit soured!!
