oh well I have bought the defender aswell, I hope to get her home tomorrow so ill post some pics and the wait for the abuse, but then the dilema will start which do I keep?
 
exhaust leaks, power steering box, headlights, hazard switch, shock bushes, indicator lenses showing white, (easy fix put orange bulbs in lol) silly things but if the garage did it it wasnt worth doing, do the guy left it there back in july never took the tax off it tax ran out in november
 
mmmmmmmmmmmm well I got it for £735 so I dont know wether thats high or low lol, according to the mannie at the garage the prevous owner spent a fourtune on it brakes, the gearbox was rebuilt 2 years ago, so ill just have to wait to get it home, im like a kid with another new toy!!!!!! Its ashame she wont be home today as i have just paid for it, but im of to a funeral today, oh well always tomorrow lol.
 
:5bparty:party time at that price I reckon. A few quick repairs....MOT...sell for a tidy profit...and plenty then to spend on the series. Result!!!
 
yeah that sounds like a real bargin..... and brill idea from ben......
if you find another at that price or lower - let me know - cant get one round here there all tight yorkshire gits... ah but scottish up there.... now who the worste lol.....
 
Just a couple of pics of the new one, ill try to get some more on here in the morning if it stops raining, thats after ive put a seal kit in he master clinder of the series,:mad::mad:
and no thats not my workshop, I wish it was lol,

:(:(Well guy's i think im going to be chucked out of this section, because reluctantly ive sold My series, I put it on fleabay with a high reserve to test the market, and it made the reserve, unfortunatly the defender will be staying for the time being, although at the moment it has no characture unlike the series, I cant believe how attached i had become to it after doing all the work and only having it on the road for a week, it will be easier for the little lady (Blonde Mobile hairdresser) to drive if the bad weather comes back, mind you she said she wont drive it, its a mans toy lol.
that is if they collect it next weekend.
so ill keep an eye on this section if youll still alow me in here

Thats one thing that im not, lol under any thumb! well thats what i say on here, different if shes here lol, as her dad says "The Mans is The Man".
Mind you its been a sad day seeing someone else driving off with her, so now im back to no landrover on the road, heaps of parts orderd and work ring me and need me to go to hull for a few days, how inconsiderate of them needing me to work, lol
 
Ok I want to know who is going to win the bet, as I forgot to say a couple of months ago i have bought a series2a lol .
