Just sorting out a few peoblems for the MOT, and the rear crossmember has some rot on it.
Not sure how these are mounted, as can't find the Rave CD. And my haynes bodge it book has done a runner. Are the cross members welded to the bodywork or bolted?

I hadnt seen this post before matey, wondered what you were on about the other day.

You would be surprsed what will pass an MOT regarding a rear cross member , especially with a bit of filler and underseal:D

I have a sympathetic mot place where the guy is into clasics and disco ones so understands our problems-as long as it is realistically safe. If you used it for a trip down we could sort it.

Oh the MOT inspector I use is good. He let it slide last year lol.
I would come down with it. But it int got MOT atm.

Just in the middle of doing the bloody steering box. I'll be looking at the crossmember on saturday

I am waiting whilst my spare autobox is rebuilt, glad I spent the £30 on that as it means I can still drive mine whilst its being done , otherwise it would be off the road for week+ whilst they did it.
