i had the battery light and alternator fault come up on the dash, so i refitted my ole 13.8 voltage regulator, still no joy so up my original Valeo alt back on with the 14.7 regulator i had just taken off ,
Silly stupid me left battery connected, well the leads cant go far:rolleyes:, till you put a socket to undo a bolt and guess what spark from main alt lead taped it up better late than never:( finnish up and no nothing when the key is turned
I have checked all the fuses in the board all ok, swapped the relays still no go, i am getting abs fault up on the dash, and i have checked that the codes for the becm and edc ecu match, were should i look now:(

I had a brain fart last night and remembered the fuse on the becm but alas still no joy, i will have to investigate more:(

What is working and what isn't? I'd drive down but I plummeted off a ladder the day before yesterday and I cannot use my right arm or leg at the moment. I am hoping to be able to wear trousers and walk by the weekend though.

All fuses under bonnet and seat OK? Including the one in the engine ECU box? Have you shorted the starter solenoid?

Brian,
Maybe check the starter motor turns when you bypass relay 16 ?

I'm only down the road from you if you need multimeter, DC current clamp meter, etc ? My Nanocom is GEMS so won't read your DSE.

All fuse I have found check out, starter solenoid is next on list, it has to be something silly.

Right i tried the solenoid and starter works but battery is now down to low as it was not charging and i had to drive it home so battery is on charge.
all fuses i have found check out visually and with a multimeter, numbers match in the becm and edc ecu, the only other fault is dash says abs fault.
