my v8 disco1 has 3 lpg gas tanks underneath with 160ltrs altogether which the previous owner had installed by rpi engineering. It has a 3" lift and maa-hoosive mud terrain tyres on. Would i still be able to go off roading in the beast with all this kit underneath? Oh,and does lpg need servicing?

Not forgetting that in the new MOT regs, LPG leak detection IS part of the MOT anyway.

As a side note, my dad used to off road with me in a V8 with underslung torpedo tanks. We only did very light laning, and the setup was standard but with standard size M/T tyres. There were a couple of occasions in the summer when on dry mud he had scraped and partly damaged one of the tanks.

I'd probably suggest if you were going to do some serious stuff, getting the tanks re-located into the boot. But make sure if you do so to rig up some sort of vent to atmosphere system around in tank connections.
