Off-Road Events - Again!

Hi all,
just a bit more info about what DEFRA (or whatever it's called this
week) are up to regarding motor sport. A land owner in Linconshire is
reliably reported as having encountered the following.
During informal discussions with an official he was advised that
he should "carry on to the end of the year, then we'll see what
happens". He quite rightly regarded this with suspicion and made
formal enquiries at a higher level. This resulted in a letter stating
that if he went ahead, not only would he stand a chance of loosing
any grants directly related to motor sport, be he could loose *all*
his grants.
Oh, and a Model Aeroplane Club counts as motor sport by the way.

There's still time to vote!!!!!

Indeed ... I race, and am part of the National committee, of the BRCA
http://brca.org/ . We race Radio-Control model cars off-road.

We're part of the MSA (Motor Sports Association) http://www.msauk.org/ and
are finding it awkward to find places to run full National and International
meetings due to insurance restrictions / prices, ;et alone when these stupid
ideas come to fruition..
