something else to bear in mind - some people say you can do a 2" lift and not change anything else apart from brake pipes. Others say you ought to get castor corrected radius and trailing arms as well as upgrading the props to a wider angle UJ or even Double UJ type.

Do you have a 300 tdi 200 or V8 ? If you have the rubber donut connecting rear prop to rear diff then any lift can start to chew through these donuts. I have seen donuts fail off road on 2" lifted cars. You can fit a 200 rear prop and flange to get over this or buy a proper branded donut and carry a spare

I got nowt against lifts but even with my HD springs I found no issues off road even when playing at sites with friends who have 2" lifts. In fact its funny to see their faces on side slopes when they lean at a more alarming angle

Great info thanks :) :) :)

I have a 300tdi, I have no idea about the rear prop, i will have to have a look.

I can see a lift happening very very soon :)

Thanks again.

Are britpart really that bad?

What make are good but not over expensive for dampers/springs?

cheers (again)

its has advantages, which you all probably know, a very simple one is that on a standard disco if you go in a water/mud hole, you'll be pushing mud with your front bumper, increasing the chance of getting stuck.... if it's lifted...the only resistance you'll have is from the diffs, all the rest will be above..

I know that cause I see it happening often

My point exactly!! :) Nice photo BTW ;)
