Hi

I just bought a wheel bearing kit off eBay that stated all items OEM products and not aftermarket. The bearings themselves are Timkens which is fine. The lock washer & drive member gasket have no packaging so cannot tell. The oil seal is in a Corteco box, does anyone know if this is the OEM manufacturer ? It also has a Bearmach sticker on it.

I paid £8 more for this set to get OEM parts so just want to make sure I've got the right parts before leaving feedback.

Thanks.

if they are to OE spec then yes they are the same as LR, however, and this is important, many OE spec manufacturers run similar lines which are aimed at the "aftermarket" which are not made to the same specs as OE, but are cheaper, same or similar packaging but a lower rent version, maybe looser tolerances etc on manufacture but defo lower spec than OE.

not by the manufacturer, but who knows in the wacky world of ebay?
i work for a OE parts supplier and we also supply the aftermarket, we take great efforts to ensure that the parts we supply to manufacturers are to the spec required ( anybody who works in the car industry supply chain will know these terms - 5S, SPC, 8D,QS9000 etc) BUT the parts we supply the aftermarket are not nearly so rigourously controlled, some OE spec ends up in aftermarket but the specs are defo looser and unlike the OE ARE in branded boxes (??) - OE dont like branded for some reason.
