Hi all,
About to buy an injector harness loom for my Disco 2 TD5 and was going to go to a main dealer as I don't want to end up with some of the crap that is out there, but looking through the 'Mail order 4x4' website I see they are selling OEM harnesses for £40 + VAT. Are these the same as I would get from Land Rover? I really don't want to get caught out!
Cheers

yes, OEM- Original Equipment Manufacturer,
Exactly the same as if you bought the Land Rover part, but without their mark up and 25% added for the pretty landrover box.

I fitted a £25 harness from my local supplier , have had no problems , have no idea who its made by

paying for somebody else to do the work though I suppose you may want the extra piece of mind , I just think of them as service items

25 Years ago I went to ford for some brake pads

He said do you want ford standard, ford service or motorcraft

I asked what the difference was and he said the box

Motor manufacturers are just assembly shops, all the parts come in from 3rd party suppliers, OEM will be one of those suppliers
