Odd noise in cabin when I open the door.

Anyway, when I open the door on my car, a fan of sorts kicks in somewhere in the dash - and then it stops after a few seconds.

So, what is it? - what's it for and what does it do? I know it's not just my car that does it as I've heard it in other L322's

It's not the EAS, it freezes when a door is opened. If you think it's a fan, maybe it's a fart clearer:flame2:

hi scott , i have a 2000 4.6 v8 vogue autobiography and i have the same noise every time i get in and start up . if you just get in and turn ignition key one turn you will hear it clearer and ive been assured that its the self leveller on the eas , hope this helps . mozz
