Hi chaps,

I have swapped the bulbs round, still the same
checked the headlights for a number dif on the glass ,same each side

So i need to go further ,Relays? Earth?

Thanks for looking

Yes i gave it all a good wiggle but no joy

where are the earth points on the td4 lights then

thanks richtd4es
earth we always have problems wiff earth un earthlings fink youll find its not called earth [yer have rubber tires] ok its slang but its really -ve or negative or in mondos case cathode. . . .

:) This is a common problem, not just on Freelanders though.
Your problem is almost certainly a poor earth connection either at the headlamp connector (check also for signs of corrosion ) or the multi clinch block (there is one on the o/s bulkhead to the left of brake servo, as viewed from front of vehicle, white plastic connector, all wires are BLACK.)

Sorted

Many thanks to all that helped with this
Problem was a loose clintch point
not on the off side one but near side just, by the Battery
just tightened the 10 mm nut and all was back to normal

Now how do i get the off side light lifted up a bit
cant find an adjuster ?

just trying to improve the driving experience at night

yours

mondo
thanks

Got the ES as well
the thumb thing is on max setting eg at the top setting

my problem is the off side light is a lot lower than the near side
even on full beam

so it must be adjusted wrong? NO?

any help appreciated

If yer look down the light from the top, you should see a grey shaft stickin out, where that pokes thro the black casing there's wot looks like an allen screw with a cross at the bottom of it.
bet thats yer adjuster !
cant see out else that would move, so try givin it a twiddle !;)

dunt growl at me if it aint tho!

Yep thems the ones !

sept the one i wer talkin of is the horizontal adjuster !
the one you need is under the slam panel,
Supposed to be a hole to poke the allen key thro !
but there int a hole on mine ?????
