Some months back I manged to be looking at the instrument cluster to see the fuel gauge needle go up and then down really fast at the same time the TC light came on, on was on flat road at the time so no need for TC to kick in, after this I notice my light cluster is dimmer, a bulb gone i think.

But when i accelerate over a man hole my TC light now doesn't come on, i can here the TC working (clicking away)as normal but what could it be?

loose connections, if so where?

how easy is it to take the cluster off and get behind instruments to change bulbs ?

Any help much appreciated.

check for green copper corrosion on the back of the fuse box in the drivers knee locker. leaking windscreens can play havock with the instruments by corroding the back of the IDM module here...

take out the fuse box as a whole, and clean up the back if needed.

i to can some times get the tc working but with out the light but it is only when there is a very small amount of loss of traction (T junctions and white lines when giving it a bit) but when the tc is working propely (mud grass verges with the trailer on) the light comes on
