Have spoken to the management, and she is *not* willing to give up a
fortnight in Crete for a weekend in Wales. Her comment was "You had *your*
honeymon that you wanted laning in Wales, I am now going to have the
honeymoon I wanted in Crete...." She also added that she doesn't want to
"sleep in a sodding tent in October......"

I was about to point out a trip to Yorkshire this coming weekend that could
potentially be much better than a tent, but decided that I did not need to
lie down with some steak on my eyes....

I reckon we need to talk to her at Peterborough.....

What's the price for us sad b******s who aren't going to go
off-roading? (too much hassle unloading the bits in the back) I'm
happy to pay for camping, and do the 'unofficial' pics and video - oh,
and provide the cinema ;-)

I'm not bothered if there's no discount mind, but best to ask.

Hi Martyn,
I shall enquire.
BTW, we are up to 15 vehicles and Subarus now.

What ages are attending rug-rats ? Ours are 7 and 5. That way we can
bring age-appropriate entertainment - Lego Star Wars on the X-box is great !

Amy is 5, she's a very sensible young kid (yeah, I dont know wher she gets it from either!!) & is often
mistaken for older!

She's happy with films etc on a big screen!

& WTF is wrong with Subarus then??

It's got 4wd too! (they all do!) ;~)

Shame I'm not gonna be in mine, the Touareg's gonna take the strain.

They're a bugger to get out of the tyre tread on a 101

Find out how big the barn they'll let us have is, and if there's power
there. Maybe take more than 1 projector and have a mini-multiplex?

Ah, you mean 15 vehicles, then.

Hi. Is this only open to the *salute* elite few or can us lowland commoners
come?

If that be the latter we'd have to come in our Discovery (nigh on 300 miles
in a series 2a diesel at 40-50mph must be mad!!!)
unless the extremely unlikely circumstances that I find the use of a trailer
to tow the IIa down we will also not be needing the use of the offroad
course.

It's an unofficial, informal meet. I see no elite here or anywhere
else getting in the way of us normal folk doing what we do :)

Mind, you'll have to cough up a Tenner deposit to young Steve in order
to secure the 'booking'. This is really so he can fully assess the
numbers and show willing to the site owners - who are giving us all
exclusive access for the weekend.

By Elite I meant for example those longer serving members with big purple
things (oooeer) ;)
and others in the same league. ;)

Thanks, hopefully may see you all.

Crumbs, never thought of myself - or anyone else here as 'elite'.

Gobby maybe, but certainly not elite ;-)

There aren't really many 'members' here, just 'posters' and 'lurkers',
the latter pop a posting in here and there, all will inevitably end up
owning a 101... erm...

>Thanks, hopefully may see you all.

Good show! :)

S2b f/c count for anything? my son is working on getting a fire appliance
one of them.

I can bring a quiet generator.

Projector might be tricky at the minute.
