Obd2 communicates with engine but not braking system ??

Hi guys.
So 3 amigo time again.
But my mechanic can get there scanner to communicate with my engine and check codes clear etc.
But says unable to communicate with abs system etc.
Any ideas??
Mot due yaaay

You need to use a vehicle specific code reader, not just a generic OBD2 reader.
